Last Saturday, 12th July, we hosted our Annual Regatta and welcomed boats and crews from our neighbours Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club.

Racing took place in moderate winds and high temperatures. At one stage the thermometer on the committee boat was reading 33 degrees.

Five races were started and all together 28 boats competed and we counted 122 persons crewing on the boats. A good turn out.

The five classes racing were

Cruisers 1

Clontarf E Boats

Cruisers 2

Clontarf Cruisers

White Sails

Cruisers 1 started on time (12.30) but due to anchor dragging an AP flag was displayed and this resulted in all other races starting 10 minutes later than scheduled.

A perpetual trophy was presented by Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club to the winning Clontarf Cruiser. Mairead McKenna helming Sika was presented with the trophy.

Back in the club members and contestants enjoyed music, food and chat.

Photographs submitted by participants will be uploaded on our website later in the day.

Results are available on our website under the Racing banner.

A date for the calendar, Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club At Home will take place on 26th and 27th July. All boats welcome.
