PYBC needs new members and new crew.....

 

The annual Open Day Event was held on Saturday 2nd May.

for friends, family, work colleagues , interested in getting out on the water for the first time...or joining a crew for the racing season.

Thank you to all the hardy souls who turned up on the day, despite the inclement weather....and to all the boat owners who made thier boats available to visitors on the day.

Blessing of the Boats

The annual Blessing of the Boats ceremony will take place at

Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club on Sunday 24th May, at 13.00

followed by a Parade of Sail up river past the East Link bridge.

East Link Bridge lift will be at 14.00

Boats will depart Poolbeg Marina at  13.40

Over the Winter Series of Talks, at PYBC €1,205 has been raised in donations for the RNLI Lifeboats charity. On behalf of PYBC, Commodore Negley Groom presented a cheque for this amount to Peter Richardson, RNLI Sea Safety Officer, after his ‘Respect The Water’ presentation at PYBC on April 15th 2015.
