Poolbeg Marina Guidelines Rules
The Management of Poolbeg Yacht, Boat Club & Marina retains the right to refuse admission to anyone who fails to comply with these rules or to observe the Dublin Port Company’s Guidance Notes.

1.       Poolbeg Yacht, Boat Club & Marina accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage to vessels or injury to personnel howsoever caused. All berth holders must hold adequate insurance including third party risks.

2.       Access to the Marina is controlled by a security system, CCTV cameras operate throughout the marina and clubhouse.

3.       Location: Latitude 53°20’650”N Longitude 06° 13’00”W. Charts: Admiralty 1447; Imray C61 C62. Irish OS 50. For navigational directions refer to pilot book/almanac.

4.       VHF Radio Channel – 37A(M1) ,M2, 16. Dublin Coast Guard Radio 16, 67, 83. Dublin Port 12 (main working channel).

5.       Coast Guard Service (01) 6782301. Police (01) 6669600 (Irishtown). St. Vincent’s General Hospital (01) 2694533.

6.       On the roadway around the clubhouse there is a speed limit of 5mph (8kph).

7.       Children aged 12 years and under MUST wear lifejackets and be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

8.       Domestic pets must be kept on a leash whilst on the premises. Please clean up any excrement left by your pet.

9.       No domestic pets are permitted in the clubhouse building.

10.    Bathing and fishing are not permitted within the confines of the Marina.

11.    Barbecues shall not be operated within the confines of the Marina.

12.    Shore power is available to each berth through individual connections on the service pillars (240 volt AC electricity). Electricity cards may be purchased at the Marina Office along with electricity leads if required – a deposit secures. Please ensure that leads are disconnected from electricity bollards when not in use.

13.    Potable water is available at all berths free of charge.

14.    Suitable refuse disposal points are available within the marina. Please recycle your waste as appropriate. Waste oil and old batteries must be placed in the appropriate receptacles.

15.    Pump-out facility is available at a charge – contact the Marina Office. Craft not fitted with holding tanks shall not discharge sewage directly into the marina. Lavatory facilities are available in the Marina Building.

16.    Marine Diesel is available. Boats must fuel at the designated fuel pontoon.

17.    Gas available locally.

18.    SOS stations are fitted with a lifebuoy, and fire extinguishers are located strategically around the marina. There are fixed safety ladders positioned on each leg of the marina.

19.    Fire Drill - Raise the alarm & inform the Marina Office. Clear the area of people who may be in danger in particular those who are downwind of the fire. Tackle the fire only if it is safe to do so.
The foregoing Rules shall apply to all users of the club's marina and premises. These Rules may be altered added to or amended from time to time by the club. Upon such amended Rules being displayed at the clubhouse or served on the Owner any addition or amendment shall be deemed incorporated herein.

20.    Please observe a DEAD SLOW speed limit in the marina and do not create excessive wash within the confines of the marina.

21.    Powerboats shall give way to sail. Boats on a collision course alter course to starboard. Boats shall pass port to port.

22.    Any person in charge of a fast power boat in the river shall ensure that it is at all times under proper and adequate control and that it is driven at such reduced speeds as are necessary in the vicinity of other water users including canoeists, wind surfers etc. so as not to cause fear or anxiety.

23.    Berth holders shall at all times respect the privacy of others and shall ensure noise pollution is kept to a minimum.

24.    A public telephone and Internet connection is located at the Marina Office.

25.    The local villages of Ringsend & Irishtown boast several grocery, hardware, cafes, bars and restaurants. Groceries can be delivered to the Marina.

26.    Banks are available in the local villages open Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm.

27.    Taxi and Bus Service available to Dublin City, Airports and Railway stations.

28.    Laundry service available in village – contact Marina Office.
