Off-Shore - The
Marina
. 100 fully serviced
berths

The marina offers
100, fully serviced, secure berths for motor and sail boats up to 20
metres. With a marina basin of 2.4 metres OD there is sufficient
depth for most vessels at all stages of the tide. On shore, marina
users are able to relax and enjoy the facilities of the new
clubhouse.
Constructed to international standards, the marina comprises secure
access gates with CCTV, gangway, floating pontoons and breakwater
units moored on the renowned seaflex mooring system. Services to each
marina berth will include water, electricity and telecoms (CAT 5).
Pump-out and diesel fuel facilities are also available.

Poolbeg Yacht
& Boat Club is a dynamic and vibrant club that
caters to all levels of sailing. Its calendar of
events features weekday and weekend championship
racing and regattas including the unique
3 island race (a circular route of Dalkey,
Lambay and
Ireland
’s
Eye), Cruising in Company and a comprehensive training programme
including Yachtmaster Coastal & Offshore qualifications. Poolbeg
also offers training programmes and separate facilities for children
of all ages.

Training

As a training
facility, Poolbeg has an impressive track record in its provision of
training to members and to individuals in the local community. Courses
are organised by the club on a thematic basis and decisions in
relation to course themes are arrived at through consensus from all
trainees. External course tutors are contracted in, according to area
of expertise, to provide in-house courses in the club. Every effort
is made to ensure that the courses delivered in Poolbeg carry
accreditation. The new clubhouse features a dedicated training area,
which serves to further enhance the work done in this area.

Poolbeg Yacht &
Boat Club have opened their doors to new members and
anticipate quite an up-take as members will enjoy the
new state-of-the-art clubhouse overlooking the River
Liffey and the new marina, all for very modest
membership fees.
