Welcome to PYBC and thank you for choosing this most prestigious Marina near the centre of Dublin. We trust you will enjoy your stay with us. This brochure provides information about the facilities here at PYBC as well as some local information which will help to make your visit and stay with us a safe and enjoyable one

Transport

Taxis :Taxi 7 (460 0000), Dial-A-Cab (80 80 800), City Cabs (8 72 72 72) and NRC (677 22 22).  The staff will be happy to book taxis for visitors on request.

The club is 10 minute walk away from the Dublin Bus Routes which all pass through Ringsend Village (1, 2 and 3)  and Sandymount Village (route 3)  going to and coming from the City Centre. Buses to Dublin Airport run every 20 minutes from the Central Bus Station (Busares, at the South end of Amiens St, near Custom House and Connolly Station).  Further information on www.dublinbus.ie,  phone (01) 873 4222.

Bus Eireaan runs long distance and express services to other destinations in Ireland from the Central Bus Station (Busares). Further information can be found on www.buseireann.ie , phone (01) 836 6111

The Dart  line (city rail service) links Malahide (and Howth) with Dun Laoghaire and Greystones via Connolly station in the city centre. The nearest access to the Dart is Lansdowne station, about 25 minutes walk from the clubhouse.  The Dart service runs between 6h30 and 23h30 every 10 minutes (at peak times). The Luas, Dublin’s new city tramway, currently operates between Connolly Station (via Heuston Station) and Tallaght in the South West and between St Stevens Green and Sandyford in the south. Further information on www.luas.ie, phone 1800 300 604.

Local Information

Parks and Nature Walks

Ringsend Park across the road from the club (10 minute walk to Ringsend Village, through the park) 

Round trip (45 – 60 mins) which includes Sean Moore Park (incorporating the GAA club) and the Irishtown Nature Park, and back past the container berth.

Shops

Ringsend Village (10 minutes walk through Ringsend Park) includes a Spar convenience store, Pharmacy, Laundry/Dry Cleaner, Chinese take away and delivery, Oarsman bar, Shipwright bar, the Yacht  bar, a public library and “Bridge the Gap” coffee shop.

Sandymount Village (25 Minute walk) – Tescos, Hardware, Green grocer and Fruiiterer, AIB Bank, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants.

Internet Café

The nearest Internet Café’s (usually incorporating cheap telephone call shops) are in Central Dublin (try the Talbot, Gardiner Street areas, or along the quays near  O’Connell Street . The public libraries offer free 50 minute internet slots (requires a minor registration procedure, passport or Id required). These are often in demand and require booking ahead.
